King Saud Medical City achieves first place and wins the Minister of Health Award at the hospitals and medical cities level for excellence in Health volunteering.
The city's achievement of the award follows the launch of 20 voluntary initiatives to spread the culture of volunteering, with the aim of involving employees and volunteers in community service and consolidating the concept of volunteering in the health facility.
Dr. Haitham Alfalah, the Chief Executive Officer of the medical city, stressed on the interest of King Saud Medical City in supporting the volunteering work due its great role in the comprehensive development, society renaissance, promoting the positive values, and igniting the spirit of initiative and wishing good for others.
Dr. Al Falah explained that the 20 initiatives launched by the medical city have received a distinguished interaction from King Saud Medical City's patients and visitors.
He added: "A specialized volunteering unit has been established in the medical city, focusing on receiving and preparing volunteers through participating in programs of awareness and serving patients and visitors."
Dr. Al-Falah concluded his statement by extending his thanks and appreciation to His Excellency the Minister of Health, Dr. Tawfiq Al-Rabiah for his continuous support for volunteering.
